The two scenes have in common on
the value of family and the kingdom or the political authority. The wife pleaded to be considered first in behalf of the kingdom. But kings have responsibilities and
accountability to his people which they have to give their priority first.
The scene differ in Iliad
because king Hector have make a way to place his family on a safe place before
he resume to defend his kingdom. It was
a wise move for the king, so that at the end his son and wife survive.
This situation is common on our
lives. We are to choose between things
that are precious to us. We do not know
what to choose, but our feeling well guide us on our best choice.
