Comparison of the Two Scenes

The two scenes have in common on the value of family and the kingdom or the political authority.   The wife pleaded to be   considered first in behalf of the kingdom.  But kings have responsibilities and accountability to his people which they have to give their priority first.
The scene differ in Iliad because king Hector have make a way to place his family on a safe place before he resume to defend his kingdom.   It was a wise move for the king, so that at the end his son and wife survive.
This situation is common on our lives.  We are to choose between things that are precious to us.  We do not know what to choose, but our feeling well guide us on our best choice.

Ultimate Victory through Defeat and Terrible Loss

Ultimate victory through defeat and terrible loss has proved an important but elusive concept on winning and losing.  It is important because the solution their problem requires the prior identification of the relevant elements from which a solution can be constructed, that is the victory should be earn  through terrible loss of lives and the power .
To the Greek, they were victorious using arms, power and tricky action just to win.  This is in human since they did not give their opponent equal chance to fight.  They won their victory with tricks, the use of the Horse with warriors inside, which cause the defeat and killing of majority of the Trojan.
This victory in modern times is not victory at all.  They are also defeat because live of people were lost.  Both parties have casualties.  Resources, power and authorities were destroy.  Families were displacing.

My feeling on Aeneas Story on the Fall of Troy

My feeling on Aeneas Story on the Fall of Troy
I sympathize with Aeneas tell he tell the story of the fall of Troy.  Troy was a powerful empire during that time.  They were having the most organize system of political system.  Having these characteristics made them know to have powerful defense in term of their security.  The have well trained warriors with courage and dedication to served Troy and to defend their King and the royal family.  The warriors were disappointed with not defending their kingdom. But the fight was not fare. They were attracted by enemies during the night.  They have the idea that the enemies have left the shore.  The horse as received in gratitude of having a peaceful compact with the enemies.
They lost their kingdom on the hand of their enemies, defeating Troy was an honor to most warriors, and the downfall was the greatness of their enemies. The war which ended their kingdom has a devastating effect on its people. There was lots of killing of children and female.  People were displacing.  Each family lost their love ones.  The once peaceful and abundant kingdom was now in trouble because of the beauty of Helen which was known later as the face that launches a thousand ships.
Even dido sympathizes with Aeneas and fell in love with him.  She was so touch of the story that the princess marries him.   But Aeneas was entrusted to look to a new place to rebuild their lost kingdom.
